Abigail Roberts & Candice Roberts

I believe that pregnancy and childbirth are an intricately designed natural process that should be celebrated and supported. My approach to care is holistic and client-centered, and I strive to support women and their families through the entire childbearing season. I love to support how the body is naturally made to align and I assist in helping clients balance it prenatally. I also have a passion for education and a desire to help women and their families feel at peace and empowered in their own stories.

I'm a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) in Tennessee. I am also certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and have completed advanced training in water birth and lactation support. I have supported women and families in the childbearing season as a Postpartum/Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, Lactation Counselor, Newborn Care Specialist, Herbal Specialist, and Wellness Coach since 2001. I began midwifery studies in 2008 and have had the privilege of studying under many midwives in multiple cultures as well as completing several midwifery programs. I am passionate about the inherent goodness of Yahweh's creation, holistic living, and respecting families informed decision making all while protecting the nervous system. I have been blessed to serve a multitude of families and can't wait to continue doing this work!

I offer a wide range of services to support women and families throughout their journey. They include prenatal care, childbirth education classes, labor and delivery support, postpartum care, and lactation support. I also offer water birth services for those interested.
I serve as your primary midwife, along with my assistant, and I maintain a collaborating agreement with a physician to give you the best supported care possible!

I believe God intentionally designed each of us and has a beautiful plan instore for us when we walk in faith and in His commandments.
I believe He intricately designed women's ability to birth their children the way He intended.
I also believe in and love to support natural physiological birth that glorifies Him through every step of the process.
I am beyond blessed to be His vessel! Some verses that fuel my calling are Matthew 6:33 and Romans 11:36
"Seek first His kingdom" and "To God be the glory, forever. Amen."

I grew up around birth and a wonderful midwife and when I started seeking the Lord for direction He set me on the path of midwifery.
I feel incredibly honored to be called to this mission!
I am now a Student Midwife with so much love and passion for natural physiological birth!
I am actively pursuing my education as well as my midwifery license in the state of Tennessee.
I am also NRP/CPR certified and love working as a homebirth assistant.

I started my journey in the birth world through photography, and I've been working for over 3 years now. I started with newborn portraits and quickly realized that I have a deep love for birth and the childbearing season in general. I desired to document the raw beauty in every step of that particular season from pregnancy announcement to newborn portraits or family photos with your newest addition. I highly value and prioritize God's design for modesty when documenting birth stories especially, so that each mom can see the beautiful God given strength in their own stories.
